Job Description

The Recruitment Co are looking for a Domestic Cleaning Supervisor to work within Sunderland Royal Hospital.The ideal candidate must have extensive cleaning experience and the ability to work flexible hours on a rota basis between the hours of 6am and 10pm. This is a 4 week rota.Salary: £24,331 rising to £25,967 after 1 year successful probation.You will have day-to-day responsibility for the supervision of the Domestic & Linen Teams and services provided monitoring the daily workload and ensuring all policies and procedures are followed at all times.Duties Include:

  • Supervise all aspects required for the delivery of a high quality Domestic & Linen Services ensuring that all service staff are correctly trained to fulfil their role, and that the service is in line with customer needs
  • Liaise with service users including staff, patients and relatives, and resolve any service difficulties or extra work provision.
  • To carry out first line return to work meetings as per the CHoICE attendance management policy
  • Working closely with Facilities Management team, and the clinical site managers and on call teams out of hours, week-ends and normal office hours to prioritise operational requirements
  • To contribute to the on-going development and delivery of Domestic & LinenServices Communications and Relationships
  • Plan and organise Domestic & Linen staff and workloads on a daily basis and, where required, adjust rotas to meet demand and service need.
  • Dispatch tasks to the team in a fair and timely manner, providing relevant and adequate information required to carry out the task
  • Cover colleagues absences due to breaks, sickness or annual leave if required including working other shifts, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays including the Christmas and New Year period if requested
  • To ensure completion of time sheets and adherence to current clocking in/out procedures in a timely mannerThe Ideal Candidate Will:- Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent qualification (which should include Maths and English)
  • Current driving licence
  • Customer service experience
