Job Description

Dispensary Pharmacist Full time, permanent Sunderland£28,000 - £30,000 p.a. We are proud to be working with a leading global manufacturer of unlicenced medicines in the UK. This innovative and forward-looking business are experiencing a period of growth and have a new permanent vacancy to join their pharmacy team in Sunderland.The Role Accuracy Checking Technicians play a pivotal role in the processes, ensuring patients receive their medications safely and efficiently. In this role you will be part of a large pharmacy team who have knowledge, experience, and passion for this unusual areaof medicine.Responsibilities

  • Dispensing medication for patients safely and in accordance with regulations and company SOPs.
  • Disposal of returned medication.
  • Ordering medication into the dispensary.
  • Managing correct stock rotation to minimise waste.
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to provide the best service to patients.
  • Managing controlled drugs from point of ordering to despatch including maintaining CD registers and taking part in stock counts to ensure balances are maintained correctly.
  • Perform the final accuracy check on medications before theyre dispatched to patients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
  • Organisation and a methodical approach.
  • Accuracy in dispensing with great attention to detail
  • Ability to follow processes and protocols
  • Ability working in a team and with wider members
  • Confidentiality when dealing with patient data.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Willingness to undertake training to enhance their knowledge around CBPMs.
  • Up to date CPD and registration with the GPhC.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Accuracy Checking Technician Qualification through a verified training provider.
Essential Experience
  • 3 Years working at ACT level in a busy dispensary.
  • Evidence of registration with GPhC and up to date records of CPD.
Desired experience:
  • Experience of working in a busy dispensary environment.
  • Knowledge of CBPMs/Unlicensed medications.
  • Worked in a busy dispensary environment checking high volumes of prescriptions.
