Cover SupervisorJob title: Cover SupervisorLocation: SunderlandHours: 8:30 -4:30pmSalary:£ 90- £120 per dayAbout the schoolGSL Education are actively seeking a confident Cover Supervisor for an immediate placement at a friendly primary School in Sunderland.As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school by supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher by delivering pre-set work to a whole host of different year groups.This job is a Monday to Friday role – term time only, with working hours 8am -3pmAbout the Cover Supervisor RoleYou will …….

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task and engaged in their learning.
  • Implement pre-prepared lesson plans across different subject areas and year groups.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Provide support to students, answering questions and offering assistance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with teaching staff and school administrators regarding any issues or concerns.
Requirements of the role
  • Previous experience working in a school environment or with children and young people – preferably in a TA or HLTA position – or have experience leading class based sessions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and subject areas.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for education.
  • Great Rapport Builder , confident managing behaviour
  • Friendly, Kind and Caring
  • A good overall academic ability – applicants with a recent degree who are considering a career in teaching are encouraged to apply
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service OR the willingness to complete an immediate application
  • RTW in the UK and a fully checkable work history
