MINTH has now expanded to become a leading supplier in design, manufacturing and sales of body structural parts, trims and decorative parts of passenger vehicles, and now has 45 plants worldwide and over 19,000 employees.Minth UK, is the first factory within the UK, and we are delighted with the progress the business has made so far. We are looking to grow as a business and are looking to recruit talented employees to join our expanding team.Job Purpose:Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the role requires a hardworking and experienced CMM Technician who can work well under pressure and to all deadlines and quality standards.Main Duties/Responsibilities include:

  • Performing all incoming inspection via CMM/Gauge measurement.
  • Performing CMM/Gauge measurement of final assembled product.
  • Creating, organising and storing of all incoming inspection reports and supporting documentation to support QA department.
  • Isolation of any non-conforming material and liaising with SQA for feedback to suppliers.
  • Schedule, arrange and verify calibration for all equipment on site.
  • Responsible for the issuing and control of all measuring equipment on site.
  • Performing annual part gauge verification/calibration.
  • Responsible for gauge maintenance and their overall condition.
  • Supporting QA with any measurement/investigation activities.
  • Taking part in 8D investigations as part of cross functional team.
  • Participating in process capability and SPC activities of supplied parts and assemblies.
  • Taking part in any continuous improvement activities.
  • Adhering to 5s in all aspects of the role.
  • To represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.
  • To adhere to the Company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Quality Manager.
  • Requirements:
  • Proven experience with CMM operation and software PC.DMIS, able to write, amend and troubleshoot measurement programs as required.
  • Able to collate, analyse and report measurement data in a clear manner to all levels of staff.
  • Proficient in Excel and other MS Office application.
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Understanding of GD&T.
  • Automotive experience
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate to all levels, internally and externally
  • A good team player
  • Ability to support the senior management team
  • Adaptability and flexibility
  • Knowledge of 5s
  • Flexibility to cover overtime if and when required
  • Desirable:
  • Door sash knowledge
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above
