Cloud Platform Manager We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Platform Manager to join our dynamic team. This role reports directly into the Head of Infrastructure.This is a hybrid working position with an ideal split of 2 days in the office and the rest working from home. This role can be based at either of our offices in Chesterfield, Peterborough, Sunderland or Tunbridge Wells.As a Cloud Platform Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, excellent project management skills,and a proven track record of successfully managing and optimising cloud platforms.The areas included within this role are; Cloud based systems oversight for areas such as Azure and GCP. It will also include SharePoint, Office 365, Exchange Online and Teams.This role will ensure that a consistent method is used to manage and continuously enhance the Markerstudy Groups Cloud solutions.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Markerstudy Groups Cloud platforms, this includes but is not limited to Azure, GCP, Office365, Exchange, SharePoint. Working closely with other areas of the business who will consume these resources tosupport them in their activities.
• Work closely with our Architecture and Security teams to define and implement an appropriate governance model for Cloud solutions ensuring requirements are identified and prioritised to support the strategic needs of the group.
• Implement strategies to optimise cloud costs, including monitoring resource utilisation, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and recommending adjustments to the cloud architecture.
• Manage the deployment of updates, patches, and new features to the cloud platform.
• Implement monitoring tools to track the performance and health of cloud services.
• Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimise applications for cloud deployment.
• Working in partnership with the asset management team and 3rd party vendors to maintain effect financial control of costs associated to the licencing of the cloud platforms.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

• Experience managing internal IT operational departments and support teams.
• Excellent Organisational and Leadership abilities.
• Practical experience implementing Cloud based solutions in the enterprise.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business.
• Hands on and willing to be involved day to day to ensure business operates smoothly.
