Cad Technician to join a busy team within a successful and reputable organisation on a temporary ongoing basis to help support the Design Manager.Main Duties:* Working in Catia V5 - Essential requirement* Produce 2D Production Drawings and Assembly instructions to support assembly of products.* Revising existing 3D Models and 2D drawings to a As Built status following completion of the build.* Meeting with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings - with the help of engineering team, create a 3D and 2D lift plan for the products.* 3D model editing and 2D Piece part detail drawings for fabrication.* Inputting design specifications into the CAD software - CATIA V5.* Creating surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications.* Reviewing CAD models with the client and making minor adjustments.* Conducing final model rendering and delivering the final product.* Completing job reports.* Ability to work unsupervised and create detailed electrical drawings as detailed above and manufacturing package of drawings, parts lists and BOMs.What we need from you:* CATIA V5 experience is essential to this role* Min 2 years experience in this role* Bachelors degree in engineering or design / CAD Certification.* Previous experience as a CAD technician / Draughtsman - essential* Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software - essential* Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.* Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.* A keen eye for detail.* Excellent time management skills.* Strong communication skills.BMC Recruitment Group treats all applications equally and confidentially, we review all submissions.
