We have an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a brand new team that will be focused on ensuring the group remains fully compliant with all the appropriate Asbestos Legislation. This role is key to maintaining up to date and validated data, Asbestos administration and documentation of Asbestos related surveys, remedial actions and to ensure our Asbestos Information remains accurate and up to date.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*Support the Group Asbestos Manager to ensure that Gentoos Landlords Compliance statutory obligations and regulatory undertakings are comprehensively delivered with regards to Asbestos Management.*Work collaboratively with the Asset Management, Repairs and Maintenance, Housing Operations, Health and Safety and External Contractors to ensure Asbestos is managed safely.*Update records on all aspects of asbestos management and compliance ensuring we have detailed and comprehensive Asbestos Management Plans, an up to date Asbestos Register, that re-inspections are raised at the required frequency and that any remedial actions are tracked to be implemented within timescale.*Follow a comprehensive set of Processes and Procedures that are in place for Gentoo in relation to Asbestos Management which are translated into normal working practice.*Produce, monitor and escalate as required Key Performance Indicators on a weekly basis with completed surveys, re-inspections and remedial actions.*Ensure that all data and administration in relation to Asbestos Management is accurate, correctly entered and validated against our Core Housing System.*Provide specialist advice (where applicable) to all relevant personnel. This will include interpreting surveyors reports and analysing lab results.*Ensure all relevant documentation and certification is validated and stored on the groups document repository. *Ensure all remedial work is tracked, monitored and validated monthly and in adherence with specified deadlines.To succeed in this role you must be fully committed to working alongside a hard working team who must achieve 100% compliance in regards to Asbestos Management. You will be process driven and come from a background of working collaboratively and striving for the best results. Previous Asbestos knowledge and experience is desirable however, formal qualifications are not necessary.
