Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Administration Manager to join their highly successful team in Sunderland.This is an exciting and important new management role with huge potential for career progression. They are looking for a highly organised, inspirational leader to help take the team to the next level as the business grows.Administration ManagerSunderland SR2 9TXFull Time, Permanent28-33k per annum to start, depending upon skills and experiencePlease Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UKOur client has been successfully operating in Sunderland for over 20 years and continues to grow. They currently employ 40+ staff and are looking to recruit more key people to help them meet the ever increasing demand.The clients busy large format store is very popular with customers from Sunderland and beyond. They sell a wide range of products in-store with great availability, low prices and a fast service.About the Administration Manager positionThis role has been newly created to support the Business Operations Manager. The multi-functional office supports the operational areas of the business. Your team would deliver all of the companys vital back-office services from purchasing, stock control,promotion, accounts, business management, HR, health and safety, facilities management and more.This Administration Manager role would suit someone who thrives in a fast paced and varied environment where multi-tasking is the norm. The client is looking for someone who has strong interpersonal, negotiation, organisation and time-management skills alongsidea proven track record of delivering to deadlines. You will also be skilled in hands-on delivery and adept at working with information and data.A big part of the role will be developing the staff within your team to help them fulfil their potential and create a positive cohesive team environment.What will you be expected to doReporting to the Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for keeping the office running efficiently, including effective team management and resource allocation.You will oversee:

  • Service delivery
  • Book-keeping, HR, payroll, purchasing, health & safety and facilities management
  • Project management
  • Critical systems and equipment support
  • Support of the wider management team, including management information
  • Corporate activities
About YouAs the business is continually evolving, youll be expected to learn on demand and will play a key role in re-designing, documenting and delivering business processes.You will be expected to think outside of the box, question the norm and drive through change as opportunities for improvement present themselves.You will have:
  • At least 2 years direct supervisory / management experience
  • Admin experience
  • Be highly organised
  • Driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience initiating and delivering solutions to improve efficiencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Good IT literacy
  • Good observation skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • good negotiation skills
