Job Description

AccountsAssistantis sought by a world leader in the manufacture of automotive components to join their Sunderland plant and based remotely and on site to cover 12 months maternity leave.The requirements in the role:A 12 month fixed term contract has arisen within the Finance department for an Accounts Clerk within an automotive manufacturer.Reporting to the Plant Financial Controller. The core duties involve month end accounts, followed by general ledger balance sheet reconciliations, then fixed asset reporting, monthly journal postings and other accounts administration duties.Essential

  • Preparation and posting of monthly journals
  • Accruals and Prepayment calculations
  • Experience of General Ledger balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience of Fixed Asset reporting (Additions, Disposals, Depreciation calculations)
  • Desirable
  • Understanding of inter-company transactions
  • Minimal accounts payable and receivable knowledge (Analyse price and quantity discrepancies)
  • Understanding of the purchase order process and goods receiving
  • Office for National Statistics reporting
  • SAP experience
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate:Essential
  • Hands on experience of General Ledger balance sheet reconciliations
  • Hands on experience of preparation and posting of monthly journals
  • Experience of processing accruals and pre-payments calculations
  • Hands on experience of processing fixed assets is key
  • ONLY CANDIDATES WITH THE ABOVE EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE
  • Desirable
  • AAT Qualified ideally or equivalent or can be qualified by experience
  • Experience within a Manufacturing environment is desirable
  • An understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley is desirable
  • SAP experience is desirable

  • A flexible approach in working with colleagues and customers of different levels inside/outside the company
