Job Description

Solution, Capability & Deployment Analyst, SAP BW, IFRS, SOx, Accountancy qualification (CIMA, CPA, ACA, ACCA).Job title: SAP FBW - Finance Business AnalystLocation: Sunbury-on-Thames Employment type: Contract, 12 months Industry: Finance, Oil & Gas, Information technologyRate: 450-500/Day (INSIDE IR35)Our client, a top 5 global energy sector company known as a leader in development of innovative energy solutions is looking for a Finance Business Analyst to join their ever-growing team on a 12-month contract basis.Your main responsibilities

  • Supporting all deployment activities within FBW including the integrated delivery of the BSI component.
  • Working closely with the relevant project deployment teams to ensure compliance to FBW and BSI design standards
  • Assisting in maintaining the deployment methodology and roadmap for new FBW and BSI deployments
  • Perform the annual balance carry forward activities
  • Assisting in updating the training materials for FBW
  • Evaluating the knowledge, and capabilities requirements necessary to perform specific user roles within the FBW solution
  • Performing timely updates to the FBW training materials, including on-line self-serve capability offerings
  • Participating as needed in the on-going maintenance activities of the FBW learning environment
  • Updating the UAT and regression test scripts for FBW
  • Assisting in the performance of UAT and regression script execution activities associated with all project work managed under the direction of the team
  • Assisting in making FBW end-to-end close process documentation updates.
  • Operating as an escalation point for the Close Process Team to resolve issues/questions
  • Providing Business Continuity back-up for the close process activities.
  • Providing input, oversight and support into all aspects of operating, maintaining, changing or enhancing the FBW Solution, including BSI components, front end mapping engines and backend BCS solutions for Group and statutory reporting
  • Assisting with evaluating enhancement and improvement opportunities that are raised through feedback channels such as the FBW User Group Meetings
    • Your skills & experience
  • Batchelors Degree, specialised training or equivalent work experience in a senior Finance and Accounting positions and 2+ years experience with development of financial system functionality
  • Significant experience with SAP, BWs or other comparable financial systems
  • Accountancy qualification or working towards one (e.g. CIMA, CPA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Relevant work experience within the Finance team of a business or relevant areas of the central Finance function.
  • Previous involvement in and experience of systems deployment activities, with an emphasis on data preparation / mapping and user training.
  • Knowledge of Segment MI, Group Reporting or Business Reporting processes
  • General understanding of systems deployment activities, with an emphasis on data preparation / mapping and user training
  • Exposure to financial control processes within a business context
  • Excellent team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be capable of helping delivering solution training in a classroom setting
