Job Description

Playfords Ltd are recruiting for a new and exciting Electrical Engineer position based in our Huntingdon offices, working with our existing management and delivery teams across various electrical and mechanical projects within the surrounding area and acrossLondon.ElectricianFull Time, PermanentSalary JIB Rates Huntingdon , PE29 6EFAs an Electrician you will be working on complex projects which involve electrical installation works comprising of jobs like LV Switchboard Upgrades, Electrical Fit Out Installations, Generator Installations and Major LV Electrical Projects.The successful candidate will be someone who can help us deliver our existing and forthcoming workstreams in a challenging and sometimes critical environment. The role will include the installation and completion of electrical engineering projects withinLondon and the surrounding areas to our Dartford office.Candidates will have:

  • You have the necessary skills to be able to carry out electrical installation work efficiently and in accordance with the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry, the current IET Wiring Regulations for the Requirements of ElectricalInstallations BS7671, and the Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
  • You possess excellent communication skills.
  • You have experience of projects within the electrical/mechanical industry.
  • You can provide excellent customer service.
  • You can work under your own initiative and with a superb attention to detail.
  • You can pass on skills and advice to colleagues.
  • You have successfully completed a registered apprenticeship in the relevant occupational discipline, or undergone some equivalent method of training, and have had practical training in electrical installation work.
Or
  • You have obtained the full requirements, including all knowledge and performance assessments of the Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation Buildings & Structures), the Level 3 NVQ diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systemsand equipment (buildings, structures, and the environment) or the Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (Installation) Apprenticeship Standard (or approved equivalent), plus the industry assessment of occupational competence (the AM2.)
Or
  • You have completed the JIB Mature Candidate Assessment including the AM2.
