Job Description

Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of young people in the classroom Do you have an affinity with students who struggle in mainstream education and need extra supportThis schools is a small, inclusive, friendly and supportive, offering secondary education to a wide variety of students who are happier in a specialist provision. The children may need support communicating with others, trusting adults, developing relationshipsand understanding boundaries. These students may experience difficulties managing their emotions, processing feelings or may experience poor sense of self-worth. Their history may lead them to experience emotions in a different way to other students. Thisis where your expertise and experience comes in to help these student to progress in their learning and have a readiness to work in their school day.If you have experience of working with children with additional needs, particularly SEMH, then this is a great opportunity to develop your skills and work in a great environment.You will need:A willingness to support a variety of students either one to one or in small groupsAn understanding of social and emotional difficultiesHave experience working in this sector either in an education setting or in the communityTo be keen to make a difference and work well as part of a large team.If you feel this is the next role for you, please contact Katy and she will discuss requirements or send a CV outlining your relevant experience.Education Solutions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
