Job Description

RAC are looking for experienced Customer Service Advisors to join our Motor Claims Services team in Stretford as a Road Traffic Accident (RTA) Claims Advisor.You will work shifts between 07:00-22:00 across Monday-Sunday - Salary starting £19,382.77 upto £23,998.25Start Dates in October 2022As an RTA Claims Advisor at RAC you will be providing an efficient and responsive high quality service to all RAC road traffic accident customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times. You will have a high level of engagement with various key internaland external contacts and be able to deliver effective deployment decisions through RAC Branded Resources and the RAC Contractor network to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.Main Responsibilities...

  • Offer the best possible and cost effective solution ensuring provision of a professional and quality service, which meets or exceeds customers needs and agreed organizational goals
  • To respond to all incoming calls to customers requiring assistance at the roadside quickly and effectively, to take full details of the incident, establish the drivers entitlements and requirements
  • Manage the time to attend the customer at the roadside through effective communication, identifying how the customer can be proactively managed through to satisfactory completion
  • Make relevant contact with all customers following an incident and, where necessary, provide progress updates using appropriate resources and technology to improve service delivery
  • Develop positive and value based relationships with all colleagues within RTA & Specialist Operations, taking responsibility for own actions, supporting others decisions and assisting RTA & Specialist Operations in the delivery of inspirational customerservice
  • Liaise and communicate with internal and external contacts ensuring that resources are available and services are provided in a timely and efficient basis, taking responsibility for the quick and effective resolution of all customers needs
  • Deliver effective deployment decisions, and manage performance adherence through constant monitoring and incident management

  • Experience of working in the Insurance industry/claims handling (desirable)
  • Experience of working within a customer focussed, operational environment, dealing with high volume inbound and outbound calls whilst delivering excellent customer service
  • Ability to drive own performance improvement
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work demands and process
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve business performance
