Job Description

An exciting opportunity just in for a Permanent Food Product Designer .Do you hold a degree in Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent Are you looking for your next career move in the food industry If so this could be the job for you!Job Duties

  • Management and ownership of assigned product development projects from Brief to sign off
  • Ensuring developed products meet Customer or Brand design specification and are both Commercially and Operationally viable
  • Request ingredient samples and review specifications and safety data sheets
  • Concept recipe development
  • Use Hamilton and Grant recipe management system to raise pilot plant recipes and costing
  • Liaise with Activation Team to test concept products in application
  • Liaise with Purchasing, Finance, Operations, Activation, Quality as required to develop functional, safe, and commercially viable products and to drive project to agreed time lines
  • Liaise with suppliers to find solutions to technical recipe development challenges
    • Person Specification
  • Hold a degree in Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent
  • Industry experience in end to end Product Development - Brief to Launch
  • Technical knowledge of food and functional ingredient
  • Passion for creative product development
  • Hands on approach - creating recipes and taking them from concept to scale up
  • Strong communication and influencing skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
  • Show high levels of proactivity, enthusiasm, and a desire to drive results
  • Previous experience with using recipe development systems (e.g. Hamilton and Grant) and ERP systems (e.g. IFS) desirable
