Job Description

Our client is looking for a Logistics / Shipping Coordinator to join them in Stone, on a fixed term contract for approximately 12 months. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with export knowledge and ideally the use of WarehouseManagement Systems.Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all customer and intercompany shipments go on expected day. Liaising with couriers/logistics companies as required. Ensure all the necessary documentation is completed to accompany the shipment and ensure it clears customs quickly and without supplementaryactions.
  • Create/source the relevant customer certificates and supporting document; including Certificate of Conformance, Certificate of Compliance, Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Assurance, British / Arab, TSE / BSE statements and any others as needed.
  • Support all internal departments to ensure their shipments are actioned; e.g. service customer returns, Supplier returns and Procurement actions with suppliers. Supporting any urgent shipments from Customer Service. Ensure follow up of proof of export within30 days maximum of appropriate shipments.
  • Leverage the rates with preferred supplier to ensure the company maximise savings.
  • Ensure full compliance with export and shipping requirements. Maintain your knowledge.
  • Work with warehouse lead and appropriate departments to identify opportunities to be more efficient and support the evolution of the company operations and customer operations departments.
  • Recording data for KPIs as needed. Maintain customer knowledge with Customer Service to ensure the company are always meeting customer & customs requirements.
  • Support the warehouse Team with ad hoc tasks as necessary.
Qualifications / Experience:Essential
  • GCSEs (Maths and English)
  • 3 - 5 years warehouse experience
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Use of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Export knowledge
  • Organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
Desirable
  • Microsoft Dynamics 360 business central
