Job Description

Are you a motivating and inspiring Secondary Dance TeacherAlternatively, are you a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) with a dance specialismYES! Academics would love to hear from you!Due to a recent demand, Academics secondary division are currently looking to recruit Secondary Dance Teachers for daily supply and short (with the potential of long) term contracts within our partnership secondary schools in Stoke on Trent*.Applications are welcome from Secondary Dance Teachers and Instructors at any stage in their careers, including recently qualified teachers.For our day-to-day supply role, Secondary Dance Teachers who apply must:

  • Hold the minimum of the relevant teaching qualification and dance specialism degree (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with a Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or a Newly Qualified Teaching Status (NQT).
  • Have good behaviour management skills and must be able to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities.
  • Have outstanding experience of delivering dance lessons at a high standard to Key Stage 3 students and above.
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or you are prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
