Job Description

Position: Bank Support WorkerLocation: Stoke-On-TrentHours: Bank, Days and Nights to include weekendsSalary Details: £9.65 per hourWe are currently looking to appoint a BankSupport Worker to join our team. Are you a committed individual who wants to work with a company that understands how important SupportWorkers are to our Patient’s and resident’s recovery. You will be working with Young people and Adults with Mental health problems, Learning Disabilities and Autism at Oakwood Supported Living.Essential:

  • Full UK Driver’s license with own car
  • Level 2 Health and Social Care (Desirable)
  • Experience in a care setting preferred but not essential
  • Experience working with young people and/or adults with Learning disabilities, Autism and mental health problems
  • Role and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, Manage and Direct Support workers
  • Provide support which may include helping with day to day tasks and personal care
  • Offer emotions support for our patient’s/Resident’s and their families
  • Support with health care needs, including routine check or administrating medication
  • Commit to supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
  • Teaching life skills such as shopping, using public transport and paying bills
  • Work alongside other health care professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards
  • Help support our residents to build friendships within the community
  • Ensure that meaningful days are planned and promoted, this can be supporting patients to enjoy hobbies and interest, helping them to get involved in community groups or encouraging them to lean a new skill like cooking
  • Understanding how each individual patient/resident communicates and how this can be put into best practice for you and other agencies
  • This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. The post holder may be required to undertake other duties following appropriate discussion with their line manager.Benefits:
