Job Description

Our client is one of the biggest brand names in consumer appliances. As the Senior Merchandise Planner you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for planning, controlling and monitoring stock levels across all categories within the business whilst working closely with the purchasing team to ensure stock targets are achieved and availability is effectively managed.This is an exciting role and a great opportunity to forge a career with an exciting company.The role as Senior Merchandise Planner will involve:

  • Effectively manage inbound stock replenishment to satisfy demand and capture overstocks.
  • Supporting the purchasing team to expedite stock purchase orders and intake.
  • Monitoring sales out and adjusting customer forecasts.
  • Predicting sales volumes using order history and future marketing activity/promotions.
  • Notifying sales, purchasing and key stakeholders of stock movements and availability.
  • Leading merchandise planning meetings with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Preparing and delivering weekly reports and insights into stock inventory and distribution.
  • Assisting the buying team to help manage stock and containers into the warehouse.
  • Candidate Requirements:
  • 12 months experience in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Personable with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to build relationships with people of all levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, in particular MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of WSSI (Weekly Stock & Sales Inventory) & ATS (Availability to Spend) is advantageous.
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
