Job Description

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will join our Facilities team to maintain and develop our property portfolio undertaking both reactive and planned work.Supervisor experience working within a 24/7, large and complex engineering environment is essential along with preferable experience of data centre engineering services and critical systems. You would be required to have a hands-on approach to all electricalsystem maintenance, compliance, testing and installation activities on equipment including; low voltage distribution systems, switchgear, generators, transfer switches and UPS.You will also have the ability to display a working knowledge of fire systems, fire suppression, CCTV, security systems and lighting controls.Experience in supervision and control of contractor site works, including health and safety requirements and implementing a safe system of work is required. Supervision of a CAFM systems for completion of preventive maintenance and reactive work tasks isessential.Successful applicants must be able to undertake shift work, whilst supporting the departments on-call rota, which will include responding to equipment issues. Therefore, application of good fault finding skills and communication is essential.Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Engineering Manager with the development of electrical practices and process.
  • Supervising the electrical teams work and ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
  • Ensuring electrical compliance across the property portfolio.
  • Providing technical advice and support for all electrical systems.
  • Championing the electrical safe system of work.
  • Installing new electrical systems and equipment.
  • Carrying out a full range of electrical maintenance duties to a high standard. Including performing reactive and pre-planned maintenance activities.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Electrical Engineering HNC is essential.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations experience.
  • City & Guilds, Testing and Inspection of Electrical Installations (2391-52)
  • City & Guilds, Design and Verification of Electrical Installations (2396-10)
  • Additional building services training in TREND, Dali lighting, Emergency lighting, EV charging, Protec Fire Systems is desirable.
  • HV or LV Voltage Authorised Person.
  • Thermal Imaging (ITC Level 1) or equivalent.
