Promoting and managing the sales of critical IT security products into this growing & fascinating market & as a result achieveour joint targets.The Role

  • As part of a wider, varied team to work with our business partner customers to deliver in-demand products, & as a result to deliver profit to the business with the support of colleagues, a team leader & a manager
  • Help your business partners to generate excitement & opportunities to help their customers to feel secure in their IT environment
  • Look to help new to Exertis business partner customers by profiling potential leads & establish opportunities for new business & encourage new customers to join with us in this exciting market
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in the account basemaintain regular contact to introduce new manufacturers & technologies to our customers
  • Develop & demonstrate industry leading product knowledge which we will help you to attain and proactively keep abreast of new trends/products in the market by attending product and vendor training, research and even self-study
  • Engaging the Sales Manager, vendors and/or the commercial team to identify and report large sales opportunities that may require additional support to help your business partners to secure business.
  • Support your associated Business Development Manager, a person who is out meeting with business partners and helping you to generate opportunities to work on larger requirements.
  • With the constant support of your Sales Manager and the Commercial Team, review factors affecting target achievement such as stock availability & competition to revise the approach and take appropriate action where necessary
  • Demonstrate high levels of motivation to collaborate with our business partners on a daily, weekly and monthly basis ensuring we are successful & feel part of a team already enjoying consistently high levels of morale
  • Build internal relationships to encourage synergy with other departments such as Commercial, Customer Service and Credit Control
  • Work towards performance objectives agreed with the Sales Manager and take appropriate action on any feedback on performance
  • Take accountability for opportunities & training to develop skills, knowledge and behaviour according to the personal development plan (PDP) agreed with the Sales Manager
  • Enjoy a high performing work ethic in line with company values & management expectations.
  • Resolve internal & external issues promptly & professionally - escalating to the Sales Manager where necessary, as they are there to support you
  • Develop your IT skills using the internal systems to track performance
  • Develop your skills, current & taught, to deliver ad hoc presentations where required at customer meetings
  • Attend side by side coaching sessions with the Sales Manager. Agree and complet SMART objectives to increase productivity & as a result improve performance
  • Gather & record accurate, timely & relevant data for it to be used to develop stronger relationships and maximise profit opportunity for you and the business
  • Contribute to electronic price feeds to customers through the internal system to ensure that all prices are up to date & accurate and that the correct margin parameters are in place.
  • Demonstrate strong awareness of & commitment to Ethics & Compliance & the Group Business Conduct Guidelines.
  • Ensure that monthly targets are achieved.
  • Get in touch with at least 70% of your business partner customers every month.

  • Understanding of margin and sales.
  • Tech savvy, with the ability to learn how to use a spreadsheet to a relatively simple level.

  • Proven track record of building relationships as an account manager in sales or in a similar role.
