Job Description

Starting in January 2021, Reed Education are looking for a Music Teacher to join a large academy in Stoke-on-Trent for a term.Working with children within Key Stages 3 and 4, the successful person will be delivering music lessons in line with the National Curriculum within a variety of areas.The school are looking to secure a teacher who will be driven towards ensuring their pupils make excellent progress and take pride in their work.Duties within the role will include:

  • Planning and delivering lessons in line with the National Curriculum for music classes.
  • Working with a variety of instruments to educate and inspire individuals and groups of students.
  • Setting appropriate homework and ensuring that all marking is completed in a timely manner.
  • Assessing the needs of pupils within the class and facilitating progress for children of all abilities.
  • Monitoring pupils progress throughout the term, providing relevant support and guidance to ensure that they achieve within the subject.
  • Building strong working relationships with staff, parents and pupils alike to ensure that you are always a positive ambassador for the school.
