Job Description

Easat Radar Systems Ltd are a global leader in the manufacture of bespoke high-performance commercial radar antennas and supplier of complete radar systems to Civil and Defence customers around the world.Based in our Staffordshire head office and due to continued growth, we now seek an experienced and accomplished number of Mechanical Design Engineers to join the team at this exciting phase in the company’s development working across a range of Radar and Antenna related projects.The Role:

  • Liaise with team, customers and suppliers both in the UK and overseas for technical reviews, presentations etc.
  • Work alongside the design team, in the design of products ensuring they comply with industry regulations.
  • Stress Analysis of structures.
  • Interpret technical requirements of customer specifications, and co-ordinate and manage all aspects of each project from development through to production.
  • Preparing test/certification and development programs for certification Originate new design concepts to industry standards.
  • Analyse test data derived and conduct feedback review on results.
  • Carry out investigations into a range of problems or issues and develop and prepare solutions, individually, or as a member of a team.
  • Carry out team planning, risk management and quality activities in line with all requirements and processes.
  • Support Project/Contract reviews.
    • The Person:
  • A Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering graduate (or related discipline) with over 5 years experience.
  • Experience of CAD design - 3D Solidworks.
  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEMAP / NX / ANSYS).
  • Experience in Mechanical Principles / Hand Calculations.
  • Knowledge of design standards.
  • Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (Advantageous).
  • Experience of Advanced Materials such as Carbon Fibre (Advantageous).
  • Able to communicate technical skills and plan and control own/other works.
  • Practical and logical approach to work and problem solving.
  • Able to write test schedules and reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel.
  • Experience of working with Defence and/or Civil Aviation.
