Job Description

Superb opportunity for a commercially astute finance director to join a highly successful manufacturing group during the next phase of growth. Based in the Staffordshire area, they boast a strong product portfolio, a widely recognised brand and a reputationfor innovation within their sector. This is an exciting time to join the business as it has plans to double its growth over the next 5 years. The Finance Director will work as a trusted business partner to the MD and play a pivotal role in the senior leadershipteam in the delivery of the business growth strategy.Key elements of the role:

  • Managing and developing a small, effective Finance team. The business is proud of its reputation for both developing and retaining its staff.
  • Present annual and monthly financials to the SLT, input on strategic decisions and present opportunities
  • Run local management meetings
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance
  • Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with the operations teams to monitor, analyse and manage stock
  • Manage capital investment appraisal and monitoring of R&D spend.
  • Champion the use of the current ERP system and lead on its development across the business
  • Ensure exceptionally high standards of company governance and processes
The Candidate
  • A qualified accountantACA/CIMA/ACCA
  • A hands on, detailed orientated, pragmatic individual with strong influencing skills
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment with good knowledge of stock
  • Experience leading change projects
  • Advanced Excel user and good knowledge of ERPs - SAP, Oracle
