Job Description

As a Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will manage the Warehouse function and a team of General Maintenance Engineers through planned and reactive maintenance using the CAFM system ensuring that business targets are met and our infrastructure remains compliant.Working from our offices in Stoke-on-Trent you will assist the Head of Engineering Services in delivering their goals, including performance monitoring, compliance and adherence to facilities standards.You will work alongside the Facilities Management team to assist implementing the CAFM system and adhering to compliance obligations within statutory and mandatory legislation.Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • NEBOSH certification or equivalent.
  • Experience of multi building services and general building fabric (NVQ).
  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to prioritise workload to achieve set goals.
  • Ability to manipulate data through the use of strong IT Skills including Microsoft applications.
  • Managerial qualification or relevant experience.
  • Experience planning and managing projects.
  • Ability to compose and manage SSOW.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple engineers.
  • Experience of managing and administering subcontracts.
  • Experience of stock control and warehouse management.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Managing the General Engineering team, including planned maintenance, conduct, performance, attendance and capability to meet the daily business needs and out of hours.
  • Ensuring the warehouse is manned, stocked and controlled to meet the business requirements and delivery requests.
  • Maintaining a fluid flexibility to meet the ever changing requests for the core business needs.
  • Managing and scheduling subcontractors required to deliver servicing and inspection activities.
  • Leading the engineering team by example, promoting values and development opportunities.
  • Using the IT systems to provide and monitor data within the CAFM, Quality Assurance and other management reporting systems.
  • Managing and maintaining the CAFM system for the issuing of planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Being part of the escalation process in a reactive maintenance service outside operating hours of the site to maintain a call out procedure.
