Hartlepool & Stockton Health Ltd are advertising on behalf of one of our shareholders who are looking for......Urgent Care Practitioner (aka Nurse Practitioner/Paramedic)Tennant Street Medical Practice is situated in Central Stockton with easy access to the A66 and A19.The practice is a semi new-build with excellent facilities and a friendly atmosphere.We are a large, busy practice with over 14,800 patients and 9 GPs. We open 5 days per week with one late evening.We are looking to recruit an Urgent Care Practitioner to work 15 – 22.5 hours per week working closely with the current nurse team, which comprises 1 Nurse Manager/Urgent Care Practitioner, 2 Urgent Care Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses and 4 HCAs.The role will comprise predominantly Minor Illness appointments to support GPs in addressing acute condition demand and is to replace one of our current Urgent Care Practitioners who is leaving.Other areas of expertise will include Infection Control and the ability to support the nursing team in the absence of the Nurse Manager.The role requires diplomacy, patience, tenacity and a good sense of humour.We are looking for someone who is enjoys working in a dynamic environment, has excellent clinical skills and who ideally has GP practice experience, however if you are looking for a change of role this experience is not essential.You need to be a team player and be able to deal with any situation that arises with confidence and professionalism.
