Are you from a Machining Background Do you want to develop your career/Skills CDS Recruitment Limited are working with our client who are looking for individuals with a machining background who want to advance their career as Machinists. Main Duties Include - Operation of manual Lathe to machine various weld bevels on tubes. Working directly from engineering drawings and/or written instructions to accurately manufacture / machine components Inspecting completed parts using various mechanical instruments (e.g., Protractors, verniers & micrometres) and ensuring appropriate shift documentation is completed. On/offloading of tubes from racks and storage using an overhead crane Working confidently in the Machine Shop, which is part of a larger manufacturing, fabrication and assembly process. Working safely throughout all activities in line with company safety standards and procedures The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience: Experience of machining in a manufacturing environment - experience of using large manual machine tools would be an advantage. Must be able to work to tolerance and accurately use measuring equipment. Attentive to detail Be a versatile team player and able to build strong working relationships with our Tube Foundry department. Willing to undertake any training and learn the required skills to be successful in this role Good communication skills, both written and verbal. An understanding of the health & safety and environmental process. An understanding of quality.
