Job Description

Imperial Professionals is delighted to announce that we are working with one of our high-profile clients to appoint an experienced Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis.Job Title: Maintenance EngineerPay Rate: Depends upon experienceLocation: Stockton-on-TeesHours: 38.5 Hours per week, 2 shifts rotating dayshift and backshift

  • Dayshift - Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:30, Friday 06:00 to 13:00
  • Backshift - Monday to Thursday 14:00 to 22:30, Friday 12:30 to 19:30
Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote the use of appropriate safety equipment and techniques to adhere to company procedures regarding Lock Off, and safe working.
  • Identify and drive safety improvements to the electrical and mechanical systems onsite.
  • Liaise with, and work alongside external contractors during routine servicing and repair.
  • Assist with the safe decommissioning of old plant/equipment and the safe installation/commissioning of new.
  • Manage and maintain the onsite spare parts inventory including ordering and stock control.
  • Supervise technicians throughout a shift, allocating work based on knowledge and skills.
  • Manage and maintain the FIIX CMMS system, monitoring work requests and ensuring jobs are closed out correctly.
  • Conduct shift handovers, daily briefs and performance reviews/appraisals when required.
  • Mentor and develop department trainees/apprentices.
Requirements:
  • Apprentice Trained (preferred but not essential)
  • Relevant Maintenance qualification - City and Guilds or equivalent Level 3 or HNC/D
  • 18th Edition (desired but not essential)
  • MEWP licence (preferred but will be provided)
