Job Description

Are you a passionate practitionerLook no further, Medicare has the role for you!Medicare First is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated social worker to work full time working within the Stockton. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in childrens services and be registered with the HCPC.Rate: £200per dayAbout the Role:

  • To undertake and complete Prospective Foster Carer assessments in the timescale set out in the Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations 2010To visit personal referees as identified on application form for prospective foster carer/s
  • To ensure that all checks and references are undertaken and completed
  • To liaise with the Fostering Admin Team concerning the progress of administrative check
  • To liaise with the childs social worker and attend relevant meetings and court hearings.
  • To provide the connected carer with support and guidance
  • To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
  • To be available to present completed Prospective Foster Carer Assessmen
  • To be Considered for the role you must have the following:
  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within childrens services
  • 2 years post qualified with experience within local authority child protection teams
