Job Description

Permanent Position: Technical Services ManagerAbout the Organization: A Stockport-based Healthcare organization is actively hiring a Technical Services Manager for a permanent role, offering a competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus excellent benefits. The position entails fourdays onsite and one day remote per week.Role Overview:

  • Position: Technical Services Manager
  • Location: Stockport. 4 days onsite - 1 day remote
  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + excellent benefits
Responsibilities: As Technical Services Manager, you will:
  • Lead a team of 6 Service Desk Analysts & 1 Project Manager.
  • Provide strong leadership, setting clear objectives, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of technical services, troubleshooting, system maintenance, and support.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure management, including networks, servers, and security systems.
  • Lead the resolution of critical incidents and complex technical issues, minimizing system downtime.
  • Monitor and enforce SLA adherence, collaborating to establish realistic service level targets.
  • Collaborate with vendors to procure hardware, software, and technical services, ensuring compliance.
Requirements: The ideal Technical Services Manager will have:
  • Strong technical background in IT service management and cloud computing.
  • Proven experience in technical leadership, with excellent managerial and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and network administration.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, NHS Digital Frameworks/Support Services, and project management.
  • Proficiency in IT solutions implementation and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, Cloud computing (Azure/AWS).
