This a temporary post for 12 months.Working in a whole range of properties including domestic properties and commercial premises, you will conduct in depth surveys to assist with the diagnosis of disrepair issues and minor structural defects; carrying out work in progress’ visits and audit inspections to ensure that specifications and quality standards are complied with.Preparing schedules of work and prioritising work as required, you must monitor completion dates and quality of contractor work and identify repairs to void dwellings as part of our process for the re letting of properties. You must also obtain accurate and detailed information about necessary repairs/improvements to properties, undertake a range of surveys, i.e. Stock Condition, Energy Efficiency, HHSRS, Legionella and Asbestos.With a recognised building qualification (HNC or equivalent) and ideally with a trade background, you will have experience of working in a social housing environment and a comprehensive understanding of Legionella management, the L8 ACOP and the HHSRS legislation. Knowledge of Disrepair protocol and resolving claims is essential. You must have a comprehensive understanding of dampness and condensation related defects and resolutions.
