Support Worker & Waking Night Support WorkerSupport Worker£9.75 per hourSK6, Romiley, StockportTemp - Perm, PermanentWorking hours and shift pattern: Part Time or Full Time (15-37.5 hours per week).Hours to be worked flexibly over a 7 day rota which includes early and late shifts. Situated on the main road between Romiley and Marple, close to Romiley centre and the 383/4 bus route runs by the service every 20 minutes from Stockport.Service Users:Service users have a learning disability, autism and physical disability. They have a wide range of needs, interests and abilities. Communication needs vary; one person communicates non-verbally and another has good verbal communication and a lively sense ofhumour.Main duties Personal care Support with activities of daily living (inc. meal preparation and general household tasks) Driving service user vehicles Supporting service users to actively participate in activities in the home (such as baking, cooking, arts & crafts and listening to music) and to attend and enjoy community activities including swimming, pub lunches, concerts, events, and football matchesetc. Opportunities to support people to enjoy days out, short breaks and holidays of their choosing.Role requirements Can be male or female Car driver essential in order to drive motability vehicles Experience of supporting people with a learning disability or autism preferred Able to provide respectful personal care and to assist with moving and handling Must be able to interact positively with individuals who have a wide range of communication needs Able to confidently lone work at times and use initiative Personal qualities preferred include caring, kind, patient, calm, proactive, good team worker, good sense of humour, reliable To provide personalised care and support to three individuals.
