Specialist MSK Physiotherapist - hours negotiableA fantastic opportunity has arisen for dedicated and self-motivated Physiotherapists to join the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy team based at Stepping Hill Hospital close to the centre of Stockport.These posts will be based within a busy multidisciplinary Outpatient Therapy Department comprising of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech & Language Therapists. Referrals are received mainly from the hospital’s own Orthopaedic Consultant service via elective and fracture clinics as well as from pain clinic and the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously and independently, but also as an integral member of the outpatient team and will be supervised by experienced Physiotherapists, some of whom work as Extended Scope Practitioners (ESPs) within Orthopaedics. The caseload itself will carry a wide range of peripheral and spinal conditions, both surgical and non–surgical, experience will be gained in upper limb, lower limb and spinal specialities (including hand therapy) with the successful applicant having support from experienced members of the outpatient therapy team. The role will require the successful applicant to take part in the supervision of Band 5 Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants and undergraduate students.In return, this post will provide the successful candidate with the ideal opportunity to further expand on existing clinical skills and the department offers regular in-service training opportunities and a supervision program to support development.
