Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for a Social and Emotional Support Teaching Assistant on behalf of a school in Stockport, ReddishEmpowering Learning have placed both temporary and permanent candidates into this school, you will have the option of remaining on a temporary contract or taking on a permanent role with the school.Job Type: PermanentSalary: £90.00-£100.00 per dayMonday-FridayThis role is to work full-time in the schools Learning Intervention Centre (LIC), to support students who are working away from the main academy, for a short period of time, before returning to their main classes. There are a maximum of 12 students in totalin the LIC, but they are students displaying behaviour issues, so they would need someone who has some previous experience managing challenging behaviour.YOU MUST HAVE A DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE AND BE AVAILABLE FROM MON-FRI IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS TO BE ABLE TO START THIS POSITION.PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU ARE ALREADY IN EMPLOYMENT, THE SCHOOL REQUIRE SOMEONE URGENTLY AND CAN NOT WAIT FOR NOTICE PERIODS ETC TO BE COMPLETED.This secondary school are part of a multi-academy trust with students having access to top of the range facilities. The school is easily accessible by public transport.Note - this is not a role where you will be asked to work in five different schools over a week, this is a role in one school from asap until July and will lead to permanent work into September.Empowering Learning and the school will also provide you with a fantastic professional reference for your future career providing you are successful in this role.The hours of this position are 8:30-3pm, offering a good work-life balance alongside the opportunity to gain some invaluable experience.
