Job Description

Job Title: Project ManagerLocation/Trust: Stepping Hill Hospital, StockportDepartment: Community Midwives TeamBand/Pay rate: Band 6 £16.97 per hourHours: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pmPlacement Ref: 42459The RoleWould you like to be part of a team that works well together, always there to help each other Would you like to work in a Trust that recently had outstanding in their CQC report This location is easily accessible by public transport and has onsite parking.If you answered yes, Stockport NHS Foundation Trust would love to hear from you.We have a temporary placement opportunity available for a Project Manager at Stepping Hill Hospital.The role will be required to support a number of change initiatives and lead on some specific projects (suitable to the level of the role) associated with the delivery of a new unified communications system, both across services and clinical specialitiesin order to support the overall delivery of the Transformation change programme.One specific project the role will be required to lead on will be the implementation of the Analogue Back-up systems including integration of the system with the UCCX (Cisco), ISDN lines and Red Phone deployment. As part of this project the roll will berequired to deliver this same technology to support business continuity for one of the Trusts key partners.The responsibilities will vary according to the project deliverables, but will include:

  • Understand the business issues and data challenges (clinical and corporate areas).
  • Identifies the service/specialty/Trust strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement, in the context of the new system and the changes occurring across the health and social care conurbation
  • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions.
  • Develops functional specifications and system design specifications for the Programme Manager.
  • Support the implementation of Business Change through the future state systems and processes, ensuring that all benefits, both financial and non-financial are captured, realized and embedded.
  • Support the delivery of training and testing (design and execution).
  • Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Works with business and project personnel to identify required changes.
  • Communicates needed changes to the business, project and development teams.
  • Facilitation of internal and external stakeholders.
The skills required are:
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Able to prioritise workload.
  • NHS experience - Desirable
  • System experience: Analogue Telecommunications system (Essential) Phillips PBX Telecommunications system (Desirable) Cisco Unified Communications system (Essential)
  • Business Analytical Skills
  • Project Management Skills
