Production Manager - Food Manufacturing - Circa 30k - Stockport, Greater ManchesterAre you experienced in Drinks manufacturing looking for that next stepThis is a wonderful company looking to hire their next superstar into a role that offers genuine opportunities to progress through the business up to that Director level role, within the next three to five years.Search Food &Drink Manufacturing are extremely exited to bring an exceptional opportunity to the market as we are currently looking for an professional Production Manager to join this fantastic forward thinking business. Already supplying some of the largestsupermarket brands in the country, they are now looking to expand even further and are searching for an ambitious individual to help drive the business to the next level.Reporting directly into the business ownership, you will oversee the production of innovative cocktails and drinks and ensure the smooth running of the unit. On a day- to- day basis you will ensuring correct ordering, be actively involved in the mixing, blendingand bottling of the products whilst driving longer term strategic business improvements.Your key responsibilities will include:* Taking accountability for your delivery against all departmental KPIs, highlighting potential risks and identifying solutions ahead of time (including H&S, quality, labour and waste).* Managing and coaching other staff members to be highly effective in their roles whilst minimising short and long-term skills gaps: reviewing performance, identifying & creating training needs and development opportunities.* Supervising resource levels, with attention to seasonal demand. Identify opportunities to reduce labour spend where possible without compromising quality, safety or waste.* Ensuring compliance to all company policies and procedures, systems and paperwork.* To ensure and be responsible that the unit conforms to all company and legislative health and safety requirements and drive a positive Health and Safety Culture within your team.* To maintain smooth and cost- effective operations across the business and ensure customer requirements are met in a cost effective and timely manner regarding quality and delivery times.* Communicate with the senior leadership team by delivering shift briefs with focus on quality, cost & delivery, and gathering ideas for improvement.* Drive performance of team members, giving direction and feedback to aid good performance.Working for an ambitious and progressive new business such as this has great long term benefits, full autonomy around direction of the production unit, opportunity to oversee the implementation of distilling equipment and the chance to be involved in the widerbusiness portfolio are just some of the amazing perks of this role.Knowledge and Experience* A background in Drinks Manufacturing ideally but we would certainly consider a food background also.* A strong entrepreneurial personality with good ideas.* Knowledge and Experience in SALSA accreditations, regulations and Health and Safety in the workplace.* Knowledge of Microsoft office.* Reliable, organised & flexible.* Able to multi-task and a team playerIf this sounds like an opportunity for you dont hesitate to contact us for further information.
