UK Biobank have an exciting opportunity for a PMO Officer to join the team.Location: Stockport, ManchesterSalary: £24,500 - £27,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)Hours: 35 hours per weekWe are seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled and motived PMO Officer to join the Project Management Office, working alongside BAs and PMO colleagues to help deliver and document UK Biobanks enhancement projects alongside business change and continuousimprovement. The role will suit a PMO professional that enjoys working on a variety a diverse range of business, technology and data transformation processes and projects.PMO OfficerThe Role:As a PMO Officer working for the Senior PMO Officer you will work with Project Managers and Business Analyst on projects that support the growth and development of a large-petabyte-scale biomedical database and research resource, containing in-depth geneticand health information of half a million UK participants.You will be expected to work within the Project Management Framework to support a varied types and sizes projects, which can be in the form of:- Laboratory sample research projects incorporating sample selection, processing and shipment from UK Biobank labs for research analysis, through to analysis and definition of return of research and quality control data for inclusion in UK Biobank resource- Information Technology and Services (IT/IS) transformation projects to replace/update existing systems and processes which underpin our world leading resource- Participant-centric research projects to collect additional important research data via new devices and/or collect new samples from our participantsAs part of a newly formed PMO, you will help take an active role in its evolution. Working collaboratively with other department, PMs and Business Analyst to foster relationships to enable you to support projects to success.PMO OfficerKey Responsibilities:- Able to work with colleagues, suppliers and UK Biobank stakeholders on all levels- Be able to confidently request updates on actions from stakeholder at all levels- The person must be an excellent communicator both spoken and written- Excellent IT skills and literacymust be particularly proficient in the use of Excel 2010- Must have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks- Can work without appreciable day-to-day supervision and report on progress through both formal and informal channels- Must be able to follow standard operating processes and procedures- Able to take technical minutes and produce accurate record of meetings- Project management experience would be beneficial- Administrative experience is essential- GCSE Maths and English or equivalentYou might also have- Work in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 defined procedures and support UK Biobank to meet future targets.- A degree or higher qualificationPMO OfficerBenefits:UK Biobank is the world leading health-related data resource of over 500,000 participants.
