Job Description

KS1 Intervention Teaching Assistant - StockportAre you skilled in delivering phonics interventions, and comfortable with the Year 1 curriculum Tradewind are looking for a phonics specialist to support Year 1 students ahead of their Screening Check.We are looking for an Intervention Teaching Assistant to deliver small group interventions on a full-time basis. Training can be provided, but knowledge and experience of working with Rocket phonics is advantageous.About the role:

  • To support children in small groups
  • Provide intervention to accelerate learning
  • To support with learning difficulties and well being
  • To close and / or narrow gaps in learning
  • To work with the class Teacher to ensure learning is accessible to all pupils in class
  • To breakdown work to suite individuals learning needs and levels
The School:The school is led by a passionate Headteacher who is clearly dedicated to their role in the school. Staff work harmoniously to bring about the best outcomes for all children and achieve great progress.To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
  • Have school-based experience
  • Ideally have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Provide a CV with employment/education history included. Employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
