Network Engineer - Cisco, VMWare, LANStockport - £35,000 - £40,000 + BenefitsNetwork Engineer with strong experience in VMWare virtualisation and possesses Cisco Qualification/s is sought by this leading technology arm of a highly successful government backed biotechnology organisation. This is an opportunity to really make a difference; in providing a range of Network support for market leading and innovative projects.They are seeking a Network Engineer with a "can do" attitude with a determined attitude that allows them to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, intensive environment.The successful Network Engineer should possess knowledge of the following:* Cisco network certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE)* VMWare Virtualisation certification - VMware vCenter Certified Professional - Network Virtualisation* Demonstrable experience of supporting and maintaining multiple diverse technology stacks standard across enterprise IT operations including (but not limited to) IBM/SAN, Linux, WIFI, Cisco switches/routers, email and security systems.* Advanced knowledge of hardware security, including Security benchmarking and hardening techniques.* Experience and exposure within QOS (Traffic Shaping / Policing / Scheduling / Congestion Management and Avoidance).* Understanding of Cisco LAN and WAN hardware and software technologies * Experience of installation, configuration, management and administration of network infrastructure: e.g. firewall, switches, routers and VPN.* The ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environmentBased in Stockport and easily commutable from Stockport, Manchester, Altrincham, Oldham, Warrington, etc A driving license is required to alternate site travelIf this appeals to you get in touch!
