Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer (Renewables/CHP)£40,000-£45,000 + Training + Progression + Hybrid (WFH Thursday + Friday)StockportAre you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join a specialist energy provider pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence and delivering cutting-edge solutions that make a positive impact on the environmentDo you want the opportunity to join a leading provider of innovative energy solutions that specialise in combined heat and power (CHP) systems and gas engines that have a commitment to sustainability and efficiencyOn offer is the opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on exciting projects that have a meaningful impact on the way we use and conserve energy for future generations, while also having the chance to progress your career through specialisttraining.In this role you will be responsible for the Responsible for the production of mechanical design and specifications including Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Functional Design Specifications, Technical Specifications, SchematicDrawings and Detail Drawings.This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in power generation, pipework and ventilation design, and energy based projects.THE ROLE

  • Responsible for specifications, mechanical design, P&ID drawings, detail drawings, general arrangements and equipment schedules
  • Supporting Sales and Projects
  • Technical calculations and assessments, including safety assessments;
THE PERSON
  • Experience in power generation, pipework and ventilation design
  • Worked on energy based projects
  • HNC/HND or degree qualified in mechanical engineering
  • UK Driving License
