Job Description

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6am-6pmDue to continued growth, this well-established moulding company is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join their business. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with strong key values, where hard work and effort will be noticed and appreciated.Joining a small processing team and reporting directly to the Production Manager your duties will include:

  • Carrying out production changes, tool changes, troubleshooting and process optimisation. Ensuring that machines are operated to an acceptable standard and within the set target and cycle times.
  • Ensuring that all work orders are met and the production plan is achieved; taking ownership and accountability for cycle efficiency; cycle time conformance; scrap targets; material usage; changeovers; and downtime.
  • Using various techniques, support and drive through continuous improvements, delivering improvements in performance, and improved practices. Identifying, recommending, and implementing process changes to improve production output and quality.
    • To be successful in the role of Moulding Technician, the ideal Candidate will -
  • Have significant experience within an Injection Moulding injection moulding environment, likely holding the title of Setter or Process Technician.
  • Have a good understanding of a range of thermosetting plastics
  • Be capable of condition setting from scratch, trouble-shooting moulding/process issues, and have experience of process optimisation (improving cycle times, reducing scrap, etc)
  • Possess good tooling knowledge with the ability to liaise with tooling partners.
  • Have machine and equipment maintenance experience.
    • The ideal candidate will have the skills, knowledge and experience to work on their own initiative and support the Production Operators in maintaining Production output during Shift Working through the provision of Technical Support.Based near Stockport, this role is commutable from Manchester, Warrington, Congleton, Leek, Rochdale, and Bolton.On Offer
