Job Description

Injection Moulding Setter Supervisor who has an excellent knowledge of modern Microprocessor Injection Moulding machines with the ability to work on their own initiative and make a significant contribution to the team is required for a well-establishedand UKs leading manufacturers of window blind fabrics and systems based in Hyde, Cheshire, North West England.SALARY: Competitive + BenefitsLOCATION: Hyde, Cheshire, North West EnglandJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentWORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 5.30am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 9.00pm on rotating weekly shiftsJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Injection Moulding Setter Supervisorwho has an excellent knowledge of modern Microprocessor Injection Moulding machines with the ability to work on their own initiative and make a significant contribution tothe team.Working as an Injection Moulding Setter Supervisor your primary objective is to oversee a small team of experienced setter/operators to ensure the smooth running of the injection moulding department.As the Injection Moulding Setter Supervisor you will report to the Shift Manager and will monitor and advise on all issues concerning the moulding shop, submitting weekly reports on running efficiencies, tool change times etc.APPLY TODAYIf this job looks like your ideal position, then please send in your CV as soon as possible for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as an Injection Moulding Setter Supervisorwill include:

  • Ensure all machines are operating to optimal cycle times, and ensuring staff are continually checking the quality of the products being manufactured during the production run
  • Report to the Shift Production Manager on any of the following matters: -
    • Unresolved problems encountered
    • Maintenance requirements
    • Tooling modifications/improvements
    • Moulding issues
    • Extrusion issues
    • Machine issues
    • Staffing issues
  • Ensure all staff report for duties wearing the appropriate clothing and safety footwear
  • All paperwork including stock movement and Q.C. inspection sheets is competed precisely and accurately
  • Effective utilisation of labour, taking into account workforce availability
  • Training, initial and ongoing
  • Liaise with Q.C. staff on production / Q.C. requirements
  • Co-ordinate day-to-day activities with Shift Manager
  • Maintain company discipline standards
  • Ensure all staff and temporary staff is aware of all hazards and dangers within the department
  • Incorporate all other duties of the Machine Setter/Operator
