Job Description

ICT and Computer Science Teacher Required in South ManchesterEducation Solutions are currently looking for an ICT teacher (with some computer science) to start a contract after Christmas. The position is full time in a large 11-18 mixed academy. OFSTED Good academy who, due to a need in the department, are currentlyseeking a teacher to join their team. The successful candidate must be able to teach ICT to KS3, KS4 There will be some Computer Science teaching too. This post is a long-term opportunity until summer 2022You will be required to :

  • Plan work in accordance with departmental schemes of work and national curriculum programmes of study.
  • Take account of pupils prior levels of attainment and use them to set future targets.
  • Maintain good discipline by following the schools pupil disciplinary policies and procedures.
  • Set appropriate and challenging work for all pupils to ensure good progress is made
  • Identify and work appropriately with all children including those with additional needs so that work set is suitable for all abilities.
  • Keep appropriate records of pupils work.
  • Mark and return work set, including homework within an agreed and reasonable time and adhere to the schools marking policy at all times.
  • Carry out assessment programmes, as agreed by the school, or department.
  • Complete pupil reports in line with school policy.
  • Attend parents evenings as required and keep parents informed about their childs performance and future targets
The essential criteria for this position is:- UK Qualified Teacher Status/QTLs or equivalent- A degree in a relevant subject - ICT/Computer ScienceHave taught both subjects for at least a term in a high school or academy in UK- A passion for ICT and a desire to ensure every student is supported in their learningIf this sounds of interest and you are an NQT or a more experienced teacher, please send your CV and covering letter to Katy at Education Solutions and she will contact you to discuss the role.Education Solutions is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
