Job Description

i-Series RPG DeveloperStockportSalary NegotiableOur client, a leading confectionery manufacturer based near Stockport, arelooking to recruit a senior i-Series Developer. The Company operates a range of bespoke systems developed in house on the IBM iSeries platform, together with some packaged software.Key requirements

  • First class i-Series (System I or even AS/400) technical knowledge and several years solid experience as an i-Series Developer on bespoke systems.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of all the RPG programming languages, and the iSeries operating system with its database and utilities.
  • Extensive experience of developing systems, using a lot of their own initiative.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels and make a significant contribution to the productivity of the IT Department
  • IBM DB2 Web Query, especially with Intercept/400 experience
