Job Description

LOCATION OF WORK: This role can be performed fully remotelyTHE ROLE: A global electronic manufacturing business, operating in 8 countries worldwide, with 2000+ users require a Head of PLM and CPQ Systems to join its organisation.This is a prestigious position within this highly successful and stable business, as you will be given responsibility for managing the PLM, CAD and CPQ systems and strategy. This includes projects and innovations, BAU maintenance and system performance.In this role you will be working with a culturally and geographically diverse senior stakeholder group. The role will offer you the chance to form relationships globally, bring change and improvements, adopt new services and new ways of working.JOB PURPOSE:

  • Manage global services supporting 400+ staff across multiple sites globally
  • Define and deliver key strategic and project deliverables
  • Collaborate with geographically and culturally diverse senior business stakeholders to bring innovations to the business
  • Management of a geographically and culturally disperse team
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Champion the use of integrated digital CPQ, CAD and PLM systems
  • Build and maintain an enterprise strategy and architecture for all systems and services managed, working closely with senior management and engineers
  • Train and introduce new practices for better and more efficient ways of working to engineers, through user groups, site visits and third-parties
  • Manage projects through structured project management procedures
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team (comprising of permanent employees, contractors and managed service providers) to ensure cohesion between systems, collaboration and delivery of critical business services
  • Effectively manage suppliers
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of CAD/PLM/CPQ solutions and ways of working
  • Deliver continual, tangible and measurable benefits in terms of improving the current CAD, PLM, CPQ service and operation
  • Define, document and implement enhanced processes and administration practices
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Experience in Teamcenter, NX, Tacton Configurator
  • Project / programme management experience
  • Discrete Manufacturing Industry experience, desirably working with Design, Engineering and IT
  • Experience of CAD, PLM CPQ tools and processes
  • Confident leader who takes ownership for delivery
  • Pragmatic problem solver who demonstrates creativity in identifying opportunities and finding solutions
  • Experience leading high performing teams
  • Experience managing suppliers (sourcing, onboarding, delivery, transition)
  • Experience in personal and team development
  • Experience in service delivery (ideally with awareness of the complete ITIL lifecycle)
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and provide information to a diverse stakeholder group
