• Sana Manufacturing (B3 Labs). CBD oil, gummy and vape manufacturing business

Sana recently announced the completion of a £7.4m fundraise in addition to three acquisitions, and is the fastest-growing independent European cannabis company. Sana is run by two former Boston Consulting Group (BCG) consultants.B3 Labs, based in Manchester, is a 4,500 square foot BRCGS certified facility focussed on R&D and finished product manufacturing for a wide range of cannabinoid, herbal and nutraceutical finished products.

B3 Labs is also starting the development of a new facility in northern Germany (near Hamburg) to focus on in-house gummy, lozenge and drink manufacturing. Germany has recently announced recreational cannabis legalization; this facility will eventually applyfor a Controlled Drugs licenses (Sana Life Science already has three across the group) as part of the future adult use framework.

• 2023 revenue forecast of £5m (assuming legalisation at the end of 2023)
• Revenues upon recreational legalisation are difficult to forecast although expected to be extremely significant

Job OverviewWe are looking for an absolute superstar Head of Operations & Finance to eventually take operational ownership of the business off the hands of the current CEO, whilst continuing to drive performance improvements. We are currently implementing a new ERPsystem, and the incoming Head of Finance & Operations will be essential in embedding new systems and processes.Within the next twelve months we intend to transition the current CEO out of B3 Labs and into a full-time CSO role within Sana. At this stage we want to promote the incoming Head of Operations and Finance to become CEO. This would come with a significantincrease in base salary and equity options.Responsibilities and Duties

• Drive improvements in process efficiency
• Take over the final implementation of the new ERP system & own the ERP system on an ongoing basis
• Engage with each team at B3 Labs including Sales, Technical & Production to ensure that each element of the operation is functioning smoothly and in-line with the SOPs and the ERP system
• Work with the company accountants and the CEO and COO of Sana Life Science to product accurate monthly P&L, Cash Flow & Balance Sheets
• Provide input / insight on potential risks ahead of time and develop solutions
• Work with Sana Life Science technology team to develop automation tools and software to simplify and streamline processes, including data exploration dashboards and bespoke user interfaces for stakeholders
• Responsibility for ensuring all operations are in line with the business growth plan and has full accountability for outbound delivery across multiple avenues
• Work with customer service department to implement systems to measurably support the sale and other marketing initiatives
• Compliance of company policies and legislative requirements to include Health and Safety and HR policy and procedures
• The appropriate team management, engagement and motivation of personnel, active development of pride in their effectiveness and teamwork.
• Contribution and participation as an individual and representative in future development and roll out of the Company strategy.

• Demonstrable experience leading operations

• Completing senior management review meetings and overseeing agreed development/ coaching plans
• Integrate with technical/ compliance aspects of the business to build a broad understanding of our industry and the requirements within

Skills & Qualifications

• MBA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or other accounting qualification preferred
• Experience leading teams in Operations & Finance
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint required, experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC preferred but not required
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
• German language skills valued but not required
