Job Description

Ford & Stanley Interim- The Rail Recruitment Experts are seeking two Material Controllers to join a leading global Rolling Stock Manufacturing company based at their Central Stores facility.Location : StockportDuration: 6 month contract, days- flexible working hours, 40 hours p/weekRole and Responsibilities:

  • Process all goods both inwards and outwards (electronically and physically)
  • Liaise with internal teams and external customers on materials transactions, queries, stock inspections and audits as required
  • Maintain material logs, system update and documentation
  • Place orders on the system to pre-approved suppliers to complete the purchasing administrative process for Logistics and Facilities
  • Carry out stock takes as and when required
  • Support the team with stock levels managing, materials transactions and material planning
  • Coordination of logistics with suppliers and local depot
  • Produce relevant and accurate reports and KPIs requested by Stores and Logistics Management Team
  • Ensure compliance with all HSQE requirements
  • Support in Central Stores facilities, equipment inspections and training
  • Carry out delivers when required to other sites
  • Support with training to new starters, or other areas of the business as and when required

  • Process driven individual
  • Excellent IT skills, quick to pick up new systems
  • Physically able to perform warehouse duties such as picking and packing goods
  • Must have good knowledge of all Microsoft Packages
  • Must hold a valid UK Driving License
  • Achieved a Degree containing logistics/warehousing/supply chain/procurement modules
  • Happy to be trained to use machinery such as FLT to move goods around the Depot
