Job Description

Finance ManagerBased: Stockport areaSalary: up to £40k dependent on experienceOur client is an SME business based in the Stockport area. The business is looking to double turnover in the next year due to winning a number of exciting contracts and now requires a hands on Finance Manager to assist the Director with day to day financesfor the business as it continues to growRole:

  • Responsible for companies finances, implementing and following accounts procedures
  • Producing management accounts for business each month for Directors review
  • Managing P&L, reviewing and presenting to Director, challenging when needed
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Assisting with Final year end accounts alongside external Accountant
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations
  • Issuing customer invoices for business services
  • Processing supplier payments and ensuring all queries are dealt with
  • Credit control and purchase ledger duties - managing aged debtors and chasing debt
  • Setting up new processes and procedures within finance across Credit Control, Purchase Ledger and Management Accounts.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc duties from Directors if required
Experience:
  • SME background with experience of producing management accounts
  • AAT qualified (beneficial), QBE with strong accounts experience
  • Confident to work independently and liaise with Directors
