You will be responsible for delivering teaching and learning during their absence.You will be skilled at engaging and motivating pupils who find learning a challenge in this all age special school for pupils with behaviour and learning difficulties including SEMH, ASD.This is a great opportunity for a Teacherwho wants to spend less time on paperwork and more time developing creative learning opportunitiesfor children with varied and complex needs.Your work will bechallenging and rewarding in equal measure and youwill be workingin a school where we maintain astrongsafeguarding culture,where pupils arelistened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best.We are looking for aClassTeacherexperienced in teachinga range of subjects andwho shares our vision to build incredible futures byempowering vulnerable young people in theUK to be happy and to make their way in the world.Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN/ASCenvironment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.Educated toQualified Teacher Status, you willbe calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child toreach theirpotential.About Us:Reddish Hall School is a co-educational school catering for students aged 5-18 with complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours. The school accepts students with social and emotional difficulties, though our studentsmay face additional challenges and diagnoses including ADHD, ASC, SpLD, MLD, OCD, Dyslexia, Attachment Disorder, Dyscalculia, Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and a variety of other conditions. • Leading whole classes while cover teachers are away
• Dealing with challenging behaviour in the classroom
• Making sure all students are focused and on track to meeting the lesson objectives
• Prepare the classroom for lessons
• Help any students who are struggling with the work set for their cover lessons
• Undertake such duties as are delegated by SLT
