Job Role:- Configuration ManagerContract:- PermanentLocation:- Greater ManchesterWe are currently recruiting for a Configuration Manager for our client based in Stockport who play a major part in the Manufacturing Industry working on high profile projects for the Military and MoD.Job Purpose:-Working within the Engineering team acting as a focal point for project support liaising between Planning and Production Engineers, Quality and Procurement when needed. The role will require you to also be a major player in the internal and external configuration audits.As a Configuration Manager, your duties will include:-" Control the Management of Change Notices through the management of Configuration Status Record" Define points of implementation for project change" Carry out configuration audits" Prepare retro fit lists in accordance to the configuration status record" Produce Technical repercussion sheets for Production Planners" Store and manager through Teamcenter change notices" Liaise with Production Planners on SAP requirementThe successful Configuration Manager will have the following skills:-" Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering" Minimum 3 years experience in a Configuration Management or Configuration Control role" Previous experience in Project Management" Previous experience in handling bills of material, material requirement planning, technical data and engineering change" Proven understanding of infrastructure technology" Confident approach to communicate and present data effectively" Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment" Positive attitude with interpersonal skillsDue to the nature of the role and business, you may be required to travel within the UK and Europe on occasions, therefore, candidates must have a valid passport and full UK driving licence.
