Radiology Clerical Officer, Band 2 21.25 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 12:45 hrs - 17:00 hrs)A vacancy has arisen within the Radiology Department for a Clerical Officer to cover a variety of administrative duties which will, after training, be carried out on a rotational basis.The duties the post holder will undertake will include the provision of a comprehensive reception service, booking appointments, administrative / helpdesk duties in the PACS office (Picture Archiving and Communications System) as well as a wide variety of other general administrative tasks.The successful candidate will be well-organised and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and will be sensitive to the needs of patients. They must be confident working on their own and as part of a team and should be enthusiastic, acceptable of change and able to work well under pressure in a busy environment. The ability to work accurately whilst maintaining a calm and professional attitude is essential.Computer literacy and experience in accurately inputting data is an essential requirement of this post, however training on in-house information systems will be provided.Previous NHS experience would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trust’s policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £30.43. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary.
